1—I didn’t like it!

My Thoughts:
Just…No. I am baffled by the good ratings on Amazon for this book. For me, this was really, really painful to get through. Bad editing, bad story line, bad characters...it has it all.
It takes a lot for me to give a book only one star, but I had three main problems with this book.
First—this is yet more of the lame “read all three books to get a full story” nonsense. I can’t even imagine how the second and third book could continue after this.
Second—I’m going to let you decide this one for yourself by sharing the very first paragraph.
“Schooner Moore did not like turning forty-three-not at all. It didn’t sound as old as say fifty, but it wasn’t as cool and sexy sounding as thirty-five or even thirty-seven had been. Forth-three-was that even still hot, he wondered. If he judged by the way women continued to come on to him, clamored to get his attention, overtly tried to pick him up-then yes, it was still hot. It just sounded so damn old and that was what was really pissing him off.”
Third--Are you attracted to a guy who callously ditches his wife of 20 years for an old fling, a guy who gets his girlfriend pregnant while still married, a guy who sexts with this girlfriend during divorce proceedings in a lawyers office, a guy who is a lame Dad, a guy who has sex with a friend right after she was brutally raped? No? Me either. Total yuck.
Clearly not a recommend.
