Wandering
Wandering: Notes and Sketches by Herman Hesse
My feelings on Hesse’s work are hard to articulate. He imparts emotion so clearly, in an elegant and beautiful style. His words are able to touch me on a deeply spiritual level.
One of the many quotes I love…”The way to salvation leads neither to the left nor the right: it leads into your own heart, and there alone is God, and there alone is peace.” Simple and so meaningful to my own wandering. This one quote sums up all of my feelings on religion and spirituality. In one simple sentence!!
Definitely a recommend. An addition to my personal collection and one I will read again and again.
