The Concrete Blonde
The Concrete Blonde by Michael Connelly
This was the next installment starring Connelly’s Harry Bosch character.
I think I’m going to pause on this series. Connelly is a strong writer, but these books are too lengthy for my taste, and I have started to get bored. I might pick back up in the future, though!

The Black Ice
The Black Ice by Michael Connelly
This is the next episode in the Harry Bosch series.
At this point, I haven’t become terribly attached to Bosch, but, I enjoy Connelly’s writing style. He surprised me with the twist in this one. For some reason I just didn’t see it coming. Love it when a suspense shocks me!

The Black Echo
The Black Echo by Michael Connelly
Amazon.com Description:"For maverick Lapd homicide detective Harry Bosch, the body in the drainpipe at Mulholland Dam is more than another anonymous statistic. This one is personal...because the murdered man was a fellow Vietnam "tunnel rat" who had fought side by side with him in a hellish underground war. Now Bosch is about to relive the horror of Nam. From a dangerous maze of blind alleys to a daring criminal heist beneath the city, his survival instincts will once again be tested to their limit. Pitted against enemies inside his own department and forced to make the agonizing choice between justice and vengeance, Bosch goes on the hunt for a killer whose true face will shock him."
My Thoughts:
I like the Harry Bosch character. I will continue the series.
A recommend for the police mystery/thriller reader.

The Reversal
The Reversal by Michael Connelly
Any Michael Connelly fans out there? I recently finished “The Reversal” and really liked it. I am adding Connelly to my author list!
Description: “Longtime defense attorney Mickey Haller is recruited to change stripes and prosecute the high-profile retrial of a brutal child murder. After 24 years in prison, convicted killer Jason Jessup has been exonerated by new DNA evidence. Haller is convinced Jessup is guilty, and he takes the case on the condition that he gets to choose his investigator, LAPD Detective Harry Bosch.Together, Bosch and Haller set off on a case fraught with political and personal danger. Opposing them is Jessup, now out on bail, a defense attorney who excels at manipulating the media, and a runaway eyewitness reluctant to testify after so many years. With the odds and the evidence against them, Bosch and Haller must nail a sadistic killer once and for all. If Bosch is sure of anything, it is that Jason Jessup plans to kill again.”
Connelly wrote in strong suspense that kept me turning the pages. I didn't love the ending of this one, but I would still recommend it!
