Silent Witness

Silent Witness by Mark Fuhrman

I remember the massive media coverage surrounding Terri Schiavo’s death. The controversy of her case headlined for months. Her parents fought to keep her alive all the way to the US Supreme Court. But ultimately her husband won the right to make the medical decisions for his wife. I feel so much sadness for everyone involved, especially her parents.

While this case is very interesting, I found this book to be extremely biased and overall, in bad taste.  Fuhrman makes a tragic situation even more tragic. The bias is clear from the very beginning. Fuhrman brings up repetitive arguments that he fails to follow through on. The book is full of questions with no answers. He goes so far as to accuse her husband of murdering her, which I think is just disgusting.
