A Perfect Storm

A Perfect Storm by Lori Foster

My rating:

4 stars—I really liked it.

My thoughts:

I was pulled into Arizona and Spencer’s story. It’s a sweet and emotional romance with good suspense thrown in!

Description from Goodreads.com:

“He never saw her coming...
Spencer Lark already knows too many secrets about Arizona Storm, including the nightmare she survived and her resulting trust issues. But in order to expose a smuggling ring--and continue avenging his own tragic past--the bounty hunter reluctantly agrees to make Arizona a decoy. Yet nothing has equipped him for her hypnotic blend of fragility and bravery, or for the protective instincts she stirs in him.
Arizona wants to reclaim her life, which means acting as bait to lure the enemy into a trap. Sure it's dangerous, especially with a partner as distractingly appealing as Spencer. But as their plan--and their chemistry--shifts into high gear, Arizona may discover there's an even greater risk in surrendering her heart to a hero....”

When Bruce Met Cyn

When Bruce Met Cyn by Lori Foster

Amazon Description:

“Bruce Kelly has spent most of his life helping people who are down on their luck, guiding them toward making better lives. Compassionate and kind, Bruce understands that everyone makes mistakes, even if he's never actually done anything but color inside the lines. Nobody's perfect, but Bruce is about to meet a woman who's perfect for him. He's determined to show her that he can be trusted. And if that means proving it by being the absolute gentleman at all times, then so be it. No matter how many cold showers it takes. . .
Cyn Potter is a survivor, with a sassy, gallows wit and a fierce independent streak to show for it. She's used to men wanting only one thing, and this girl is no longer taking applications from big bad wolves in sheep's clothing, thank you very much, drive through please and keep on going. But Bruce Kelly is actually different. Totally hands off. Sometimes she can see a hint of fire when he looks at her, but the guy treats her with the respect she's always wanted. Maybe too much respect, because truthfully? The guy is fine. Worth taking down a few defenses for. . .and a few other things. And maybe somebody needs to help Bruce start over and discover just how perfect being imperfect can be. . .”

My Thoughts:

This was a typical, easy to read romance. Not bad…not Earth shattering.

Say No to Joe

Say No to Joe? by Lori Foster
Foster can truly deliver hotness sometimes! This was one of those times…I enjoyed these characters and their chemistry. The plot is a little over the top…but it worked. The type of romance you can lose yourself in. Joe is the type of character I love, give me that alpha male anytime!

Truth or Dare

Truth or Dare by Lori Foster

I read one steamy book by Foster that I really enjoyed. After that, I haven't come across another good book by her. This one was really bad. I didn't even finish!!I may have to take her off my list, as it appears the book I really liked is the exception!!

Unexpected

I’m currently reading all books written by Lori Foster. So far I’ve had spotty luck with them.

The latest was “Unexpected.” I wasn’t impressed by this book. It was okay, but the characters weren’t very engaging and the storyline was pretty unrealistic.

I’ve read a few really steamy, strong character novels by Foster, so I’ll keep going down the list.

Too Much Temptation

Too Much Temptation by Lori Foster

My rating (out of 5 stars):

3 stars. I liked it.

Amazon.com Description:

"Ben Badwin likes his women sexy, wild, and as uninhibited as his desires. Nothing like the brash, dirt-covered, wholesomely cute woman who just strutted into his diner. But something about Sierra Murphy's independent attitude makes Ben's fantasies run wild...
Sierra doesn't need a man in her life, not even one as tempting as Ben. But the more she keeps her distance, the more he wants her, and the harder it is for Sierra to steer clear of his teasing touches and his enticing eyes. To get him out of her system, Sierra makes a proposition: she'll sleep with him, but for one night only. Now, it's up to Ben to turn one night of pure ecstasy into a passion that never ends..."

My Thoughts:

I'll admit...I love the romance genre! I remember when I first discovered a romance book--it was at my Great-Grandma's house and I was bored. I used to read anything I could find, even catalogs! She had an old Harlequin paperback and I read it all in a few hours. I had found a new obsession! Over the years I have read thousands of romance books.

I have read several of Lori Foster's books and loved a few of them. She can write very raw, emotional characters. I love strong characters and steamy chemistry!

"Too Much Temptation" wasn't one of my favorites, but I did enjoy it. I was sucked into the chemistry between Ben and Sierra and moved by their emotion.

Who Should Read This?:

Romance readers definitely check out Lori Foster! If not this one, I would recommend "Back in Black."
