Another book in the Montgomery series. You know, I don’t have a lot to say today. This book is a lot of fluff. But sometimes I like fluff!  

On that note...today is Valentine's Day and that has me thinking about why I love stories about love. I'm not 100% sure I can answer that question with absolute certainty. Are romance novels realistic...definitely not. But the fantasy of having someone love you completely and unconditionally is one that I can't let go of. Love stories make me feel hopeful and warm. I don't think I will ever give them up!

The Black Lyon

The Black Lyon by Jude Devereaux

This is Devereaux's second novel, the first in the Montgomery clan series. Strong characters, emotional story, this is has both. I was pulled in by the strong female and the alpha male. Devereaux is hit and miss for me, but this is one I enjoyed.

Rememberance

A book that gave me chills—“Rememberance” by Jude Deveraux.

I read this at a time when I was desperately searching for spiritual meaning in my life. If I picked it up today, I’m not sure it would have had the same impact. But when I first read this book, the reincarnation/soul mate theme really got to me. I alternated between chills and tears reading this one.

Honestly, it took a bit to get into and the time travel stuff is not my cup of tea. But the underlying love story was so strong and intense, it has stuck with me.

Casa Grande

I loved “Rememberance” by Jude Devereaux. However, I’ve yet to find another novel of hers that I love.

Recently I finished “Casa Grande.” This is the type of novel I really don’t like. The kind that follows the main characters through most of their life. I was bored before reaching the middle!

I’ll try a few more by Devereaux, surely there is another diamond like Rememberance out there!
