Last Chance

Last Chance by Christy Reece

My Rating:

3 stars—I liked it.

My Thoughts:

This is part of a romantic suspense series. I’ve read a few, but not particularly following the series. This one was a little slow moving for me. It was decent.

Description from Goodreads.com:

“McKenna Sloan saved Lucas Kaners's life and then vanished. Lucas moved mountains trying to find her again, and finally McKenna relented—for one fleeting night. The truth is, McKenna's life is all about the dark, deception-filled world of Last Chance Rescue, and for her, there's no hope of love or Lucas. But fate, and Lucas' determination, soon change everything.

A kidnapped young woman, a lure to out a killer and the fierce need to bring a criminal to justice combine for one explosive event. For a woman who specializes in staying away from relationships and staying in the heart of danger, this is the most impossible mission of all. Because the odds are deadly, and the passion won't die.”

No Chance

No Chance by Christy Reece

Amazon Description:

“Skylar James told a lie to the man she married, and eight years later she still bitterly regrets the deception. Unknown to Skylar, her husband, Gabe Maddox, now lives in the dangerous shadows of elite operatives who rescue victims. When Skylar tries to save a naive young beauty, kidnappers come after her. For Gabe, Skylar had been his last shot at trust and love. But news of her disappearance battens down his anger and launches him into action. Saving Skylar is Gabe’s only chance for peace and his last chance for happiness.”

My Thoughts:

A decent romantic suspense. The plot was contrived…but I loved Gabe. Didn’t care as much for Skylar and Gabe as a couple, but I enjoyed overall.

Run to Me

Run to Me by Christy Reece

Another author to add to my series list! This was the first I had picked up, but happened to be the 3rd in a series.

From the beginning Reece pulls you in with action, mystery and intensity. The characters are engaging and the chemistry is sizzling. This is similar to books by Cindy Gerard. Action packed and steamy!
